LESS IS MORE! You hear it all the time. “I work out 5 days a week and I’m not losing weight!” My wife and I just started a weight loss workout that we found on a body building forum. We only do weight lifting 3 times a week, a day break in between, with a two day break after the last work out day. We have never lost so much weight, and looked so toned! The rest days are essential–your body needs to not only rest the muscles, but that’s when they grow bigger and stronger. IYAMHEALTHY

In an effort to lose my freshman 15, I’ve taken weight training as one of my classes and replaced all sugary drinks with water and milk. In just two weeks, I’ve already seen improvement in my skin and body. IYAMHEALTHY

I got myself a crockpot. Getting meals ready while holding down a hectic college schedule is nearly impossible sometimes. Now on days that I’m home most the day, I throw some healthy soup/chili recipe in the crockpot while I do homework and clean the house (I’m afraid to leave the house for long while it’s running because it’s fairly old). The crockpot is huge, so it makes enough for me and my boyfriend to have dinner, and leftovers all the next day. Far better than fast food! IYAMHEALTHY

Muscles talk. If they start to feel heavy and pressured, they’re not getting oxygen fast enough. This can be good or bad. If you’re working out and suddenly can’t lift the weight you’re doing despite your muscles not feeling heavy, you’ve hit your max and should let your muscles rest before continuing. If they start to become sore, again, you’re overdoing it and should stop before you do any damage. Following these tips allows me to work my hardest in the weight room without injury. IYAMHEALTHY

I am counting calories and make sure I get enough of the right vitamins and minerals each day. I also drink at least 2 liters of water every day. I do squash/indoor soccer 2 to 3 times a week and go for a walk/jog 3 times a week. I’ve been doing so for two months now and I can see my skin clearing up (I used to have bad acne, now there’s almost nothing left) and I feel much more energetic than before. I’m also losing some weight along with it, but most importantly IYAMHEALTHY
