I have eliminated all soda, any rBST milk, and most juice from my diet. I drink water that is room temp because it is easier for your body to handle, especially while working out. I am a vegetarian for health reasons. Once I move (which will be soon), I will be living almost car-free and biking everywhere I need to go. Right now, horseback riding keeps me in shape. I have cut out most GM and processed foods, and I use only herbal medicine. IYAMHEALTHY
I shop at the local farmer’s market in my town every weekend to stock up on veggies and maybe some grass-fed meats. I only go to the grocery store for things like rice, spices, and oatmeal. Then I get creative with the veggies I got from the market! Some of my best dinners have come about by trying to use up what was in the fridge, and I’ve become better acquainted with things that you don’t see often at the grocery store. Who’s up for some kohlrabi stew?! IYAMHEALTHY!
I shop at Whole Foods. I used to shop at discount grocery stores and never knew what I was missing! The produce, meat and shelved products are of much higher quality. I can actually taste the flavor of a tomato and cantaloupe. It costs a bit more, but there aren’t any pesticides or hormones used, and a small amount of those over time can add up! IYAMHEALTHY!
